Help Cara Open Boston's First Dirty Soda Shop
Hello potential donors, My name is Cara, and I’m a proud single mom with a dream to open my very own dirty soda shop right here in Boston!
As a mom, I’ve learned how to stretch every dollar, work hard, and never give up. For years, I’ve balanced raising my child and working long hours, always wanted to build something; That’s where my dream of a soda shop was born.
My vision is to open a modern twist on the classic soda shop, offering handcrafted dirty sodas, with and unique flavors and names that pay homage to my adopted city. Think local Boston vibes with a fun twist! This shop isn’t just about soda for me, it’s about community. I want to build a place where I can be creative, support myself in my later years, and maybe one day pass on to my son.
I’m currently working on securing a small space in the north end, but I need help to make this dream a reality. The funds raised will go toward:
- Leasing and renovating the space - $13,500 1st, last, security
- Purchasing soda-making and kitchen equipment- Ice machine $1000
- cups, lids, straws, syrups, sodas, creams - $3000
- Cabinets, shelves, cup holders- $2500
- Plumbing, inspections, drains, security -$6,500
- Getting the necessary business licenses and permits - LLC $500
- Marketing and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere- menus, pos machine, window decor, loyalty cards, stickers $3000
